Our staff were on hand to give careers and apprenticeship advice to students unsure of their next step after completing their GCSEs.
City College Plymouth opened up its careers fair and spring fete with a whole host of options for students including further education, apprenticeships and careers advice on Saturday.
Our staff were available to talk to people throughout the day to explain more about PCH and what we want to achieve for the city and how young people are key to reaching that goal.
It was a busy day with live music, entertainment and refreshments which gave this event more of a relaxed fete atmosphere. Jacqui Small, HR Services Coordinator said: “City College is a great place to have an event like this as its close to town and has a wide range of facilities on campus.”
Learning and Development Co-ordinator Danni Houston said: “Giving people the opportunity to learn, train and gain employment skills and improve their CV’s will increase their chance of successful employment.
Getting young people into work will benefit the city in the short term but will also have positive repercussions for the future of Plymouth.”
