We’ll be lending our support to Plymouth’s Refugee Week once again.
The annual celebration begins tomorrow and runs until next Friday and includes numerous events across the city.
The aim is to mark the contribution of refugees and asylum seekers to the city and encourage a better understanding between communities.
It all kicks off with a Hope Family Fun Day and Football Festival at Brickfields tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
We’ll be attending the event, which includes play activities, live bands and music, storytelling, first aid demos, African drumming, world food and much more.
Hayley Kemp, PCH Communities Worker, said: “This is a great opportunity for us all to come together in a positive way and celebrate the contribution that refugees bring to our city.”
