Everyone likes to be asked their opinion and we know that you are no different. As a Plymouth Community Homes resident you can make a real difference to the services we offer. We understand that not everyone likes meetings as you may be too busy which is why residents and staff have put together different ways you can be involved without sacrificing too much of your valuable time.
As well as helping to improve things, getting involved gives you a chance to:
- Develop new skills, access free training and improve your confidence
- Meet like-minded people, make new friends and have fun
- Check that you’re getting what you pay for and improve services
- Boost your chances of getting paid employment or into further education
- Get recognition for a job well done
Here are a few examples of ways you can get involved:
If you want to find out more about our three year plan to involve residents and neighbourhoods then please read our Resident Involvement Strategy below which was developed by a Steering Group made up of residents and staff.
The advice, ideas and contributions of our residents have helped us achieve the Resident Involvement Quality Accreditation from TPAS (the Tenant Participation Advisory Service), the leading national tenant involvement organisation. No more than 50 landlords have achieved this accolade.
We hope that you find ways you want to get involved in the Menu of Involvement. Even if you’re not sure, please get in touch – call us on 0800 694 3101 / 01752 388300 or tick the appropriate boxes on the online form. Don’t wait until tomorrow – it would be great to hear from you today!
