Always Apples Festival
This half-term week saw Devonport Guildhall full of apples once again.
The annual All Ways Apples Festival, sees local people from across the city celebrating and enjoying this versatile fruit.
The popular pressed juice from locally-harvested apples was served all afternoon. Cookery demonstrations showed how you can save money and eat well using seasonal local ingredients.
There was information about growing and caring for fruit trees, the many different varieties of apples and their history. Children were able to enjoy art and craft activities and storytelling.
PCH attended along with local residents to showcase the Dig for Devonport, Mount Wise planting project. The project has seen the green spaces around the towers transformed, with the addition of flower beds and grass areas and small trees.
