Apprentices start in award winning team
We’ve welcomed three new apprentices to PCH who will be working in our Contact Centre.
Yasmin, Teegan and Hayley have just started with us and are studying their Customer Service practitioner, Level 2 (Standard) qualification. They join the Contact Centre at a time when it has just picked up the Team of the Year award at our annual staff awards ceremony.
Yasmin spent a few years as a holiday representative after studying travel and tourism before deciding she wanted to be closer to home and found a suitable apprenticeship at PCH. Yasmin said: “I enjoy the one on one customer experience so I wanted to complete my apprenticeship with a company that is well known for the positive things they do for the community.
“I get on really well with everyone in the team and they’ve all been really helpful and supportive since I’ve been here.”
Teegan has worked in various roles including at the Plymouth Devils speedway and in a catering role. Teegan was looking to find a customer service role when she saw the advert for an apprenticeship at PCH.
Teegan said: “I was really looking for something that gave me education and experience at the same time and this is the perfect position for me. I’ve settled in well and everyone in PCH can’t seem to do enough to make me feel part of the team.”
Hayley saw the opportunity online after deciding an apprenticeship would suit her. Hayley said: “I looked into PCH online and saw that straight away it was a good place to work. I was really impressed with the opportunities and training that PCH offer. I’ve never worked somewhere that is so helpful to staff and wants to invest in their people.
“I want to complete my apprenticeship and gain a full time position with PCH.”
Angie Edwards-Jones, Head of Customer Experience and Assurance for PCH said: “We are really proud of our apprentices, they have a fantastic opportunity to learn on the job while earning a wage and we are able to give them the skills to contribute to their future careers.
This is a very diverse team of people who learn from each other.”
