Are you any good at choosing names?

If you've got a talent for picking the perfect name, you may be able to help us choose one for our new block of flats at Phase 5 in North Prospect.

The building, which will have 33 apartments available for social rent for over 55 year olds, sits at the corner of Cookworthy Road and Foliot Road.

It’s due for completion by contractors Kier Living in December and we’d like local residents to come up with a name for it.

Perhaps you lived on the site of the new building before we cleared it for demolition and it holds special significance for you.

Or maybe there’s a notable local figure who you think should be remembered by having the block named after them.

Whatever your idea or connection to this pocket of North Prospect, we’d love to hear your thoughts.

Nicola Daniel, Senior Project Manager at PCH, said: “The flats are now starting to take shape and we’re targeting completion for the end of 2021. The building does not yet have a name – we’re happy to take any suggestions for review!

“We’d love to hear the ideas of people who live – or lived – in the area, particularly those who are over 55 years old. After all, they will be the ones living there in the months to come.”

Phase 5, also known as Briarwood, has 143 homes in total – the 33 flats for social rent, 17 homes for affordable rent, 31 for shared ownership sale through SO Living, and 62 for open market sale with Kier Living.

The entire phase is due to be completed early next year.

If you have any ideas for names, please call Nicola on 0808 230 6500.
