A group of residents get together every fortnight with their dabbers at the ready for Bingo sessions put on by volunteers in Efford.
Led by Terry and Dave, the group of volunteers meet up at St Paul’s Church to put on an afternoon of fun and laughter for their community before ‘eyes down’ later on for the main event.
Ex-army buddies Terry and Dave took the group on in 2020 and haven’t looked back since, bringing people together with a common interest that gets people involved, meeting others and enjoying the social aspect of an afternoon amongst friends.
PCH resident Terry – a familiar face at the Plumer House Gym here at PCH is passionate about creating a space for residents to get together and socialise, with the bonus of winning some cash.
The winner of the first house prize spoke to us to tell us all about it: “It’s absolutely brilliant, I love playing bingo and this is a good bit of fun close by rather than having to get the bus into town. Everyone here knows each other so there’s a good atmosphere and we’ll always sit down for a ‘cup of tea’ (number 3) before we start playing.”
