Award nomination for North Prospect design
It’s great news for the teams behind the North Prospect regeneration as the development has been recognised for its quality.
The design of the area has been shortlisted for a top prize in planning excellence.
The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is an organisation that celebrates the importance of planning residential developments properly, which can improve the wellbeing of local people throughout their lives.
RTPI have announced that the Phase 3 regeneration of North Prospect has been shortlisted for the award.
The development – known as Southern Gate was completed in early 2020 and saw 159 homes built with 81 for affordable rent, 31 shared ownership and 47 for private sale at a scheme
A panel of judges have toured the area as part of the decision-making process.
Nick Jackson, Director of Business Services and Development at PCH said: “We’re delighted that our development at Southern Gate has been shortlisted for this award. It is a real positive to see that our partnership working with PCC has been recognised by the RTPI for the benefits it will bring to the health and wellbeing of the people living there.
“Those are our aims as an organisation – to improve lives by providing affordable homes, great services and supporting communities.”
Wish us luck, the winner will be announced on 6 July.
