Coronavirus Update - Friday 21 January 2022

There have been some major changes to the rules regarding coronavirus, so please familiarise yourselves with the latest guidance which we have summarised below:



Work from work, if you can

You no longer need to work from home, your employer will likely be planning a return to normal working conditions.

You will no longer need to show any kind of pass in your NHS smartphone app at venues and events by law. However, some businesses may differ in rules in the short term.


Face masks

You no longer need to wear a facemask in most indoor settings unless crowded.

However, the government suggests you continue to wear one in crowded indoor spaces.

This is especially important if you are mixing with people you don’t normally mix with, for any prolonged amount of time.

Staff and pupils in any educational setting will not be required to wear a face covering in classrooms, although some schools are reportedly asking students to continue with masks for now.

If you haven’t been vaccinated at all, you can still find your nearest pop-up vaccination clinic by clicking here.



You can stop self-isolating at the start of day 6 if you get 2 negative rapid lateral flow test results on days 5 and 6 and do not have a temperature. If either test is positive, wait until the next day before testing again

Homes England has confirmed that PCH will be awarded £3.77M in grant funding to enable the completion of the 15-year long programme.
