Efford residents enjoy fun filled community event

The Efford community came together as they enjoyed a variety of activities at St Paul’s Church Hall.

Local residents were invited to the community event, which provided lunch, stalls and activities for all the family in the spring sunshine.

Families had the opportunity to meet lots of different animals on the day, including a python, lizard, owl and tortoise through Animal Encounters.

The stalls provided residents with local information on services and advice and there was also an opportunity to grab a delicious cake and have your face painted.

Children were invited to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt before raffle prizes were drawn out.

Ryan Huws, Community Development Officer at Plymouth Community Homes said: “It was wonderful to see so many families at the event, the hall was packed.

“We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and had the opportunity to look at all the stalls and do something a bit different. Local organisations worked the stalls as we wanted to tell the community about all the activities that go-on in Efford.

“With Easter just around the corner we really wanted to do an Easter Egg Hunt and hope all the children found some chocolate eggs.”

Tony Williams of St Paul’s Church said: “We were so happy to welcome so many local families to the church. There was plenty for everyone to do and see, young and old. Hopefully this is something we can do again.”
