Exciting plans for new homes in Plymouth and beyond
Work will be starting this autumn to build 20 new homes in Manadon.
We’ll have 12 homes for rent – a mix of flats and two and three-bed homes – and eight homes for shared ownership through SO Living at Aberdeen Avenue.
The homes will be in The Quarters development owned by Burrington Homes, which is also building a number of properties for open market sale.
The homes will be released in phases from next June, with the final ones due in February 2020.
Craig Francis, PCH Development Manager (New Business), said: “It will be a popular location due to the design detail, street scene and the public open space encircling the site.”
We’ve also got another confirmed development site outside of the Plymouth city boundary in Tavistock.
We’re working with Barratt Homes to build 38 homes at the market town’s Butcher’s Park.
These will be a mix of flats and houses – 29 for affordable rent and nine for shared ownership.
Plymouth-based Classic Builders is continuing work on a 32-home site at Briar Tor in Yelverton. Of these, 11 are one, two and three-bed homes earmarked for us to let at affordable rent to people from Yelverton and surrounding parishes.
The development is due to be finished before Christmas.
We’re looking at other sites outside of Plymouth, including locations in Brixton and Saltash – which would be our first in Cornwall.
