Getting into the festive spirit
Christmas lunch came early for residents in Stonehouse when we held a party for them.
Our housing and communities teams organised a lunch, singalong and raffle for residents at the Union Corner.
Homemade sweet potato soup was on the menu and singing group Girls Out Loud performed for guests.
Ginny Lee of King Street said: “I come here for the Soup Corner on a Wednesday. I’ve lived in Stonehouse for more than 30 years. It’s great that PCH has put on this event.”
Housing Officer Sarah Chidgey said: “The idea was to put on a lunch for older and single residents who may feel isolated over Christmas. We’d like to thank local businesses who offered raffle prizes.”
