It’s a full house this week at Efford Bingo
Dust off your dabber and get involved with bingo down at St. Paul’s Church on 26 February at 1.00pm!
Senior citizens of Efford and Laira are putting on bingo afternoons every fortnight at St. Paul’s, just off Torridge Way.
The local club will be open to everyone to come along and make new friends while enjoying a spot of bingo fun with a raffle and prizes. The group are hoping to get enough people together to be able to put on coach trips for days out for those people who want to get out and about.
Terry who has been putting plans in place to get everyone together said: “We used to all get together and go on coach trips away and then meet every fortnight for a game of bingo and a cup of tea with friends.
“Sadly the person who ran these groups stopped in January and now we’re looking to reignite interest in the local area and get everyone together again, as it would be great fun to go away again on these trips and make sure everyone gets out and about as we wouldn’t want anyone to suffer at home alone in isolation.
“So it’s great fun, getting together with friends and making sure we get out and about – maybe to a pub near the sea!”
