Mi-Space provide life-saving equipment for residents
PCH contractors Mi-Space have provided a life-saving defibrillator for each of our Mount Wise Towers as part of their social value commitment.
A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy shock to the heart through the chest to someone who is in cardiac arrest and is an essential lifesaving step. There are lots of defibrillators available in public places that anyone can use in an emergency.
Lisa Saunders, Community Engagement Officer for Mi-Space has been responsible for ensuring such vital equipment is available to residents.
Lisa said: “We have a fantastic relationship with PCH having worked on a number of successful projects together and we want to ensure we have a positive impact on local communities.
“We want the communities we work in to be left with a lasting legacy and we also want to support the enrichment and up skilling of local residents by providing a series of first aid training for the people living here.”
Defibrillators are very easy to use as the machine gives clear spoken instructions and will not shock someone unless it is required.
