Teats Hill play park regeneration celebrations

Residents and volunteers celebrate the unveiling of the regenerated Teats Hill play area.

Working closely with residents, Active Neighbourhoods, Blue Health and the Devon Wildlife Trust, the Teats Hill regeneration project has transformed the children’s play park, the jetty area and the park, improving the facilities for residents and local schools alike. Championed by Teats Hill resident Tina Dawe, the regenerated area features a small amphitheatre space designed for educational and classroom activities, public events and performances, a newly landscaped park and a re-designed play park.

Assistant Housing Officer Adam Thomas said: “The regeneration of the slip way and play park is a great opportunity for residents to come together and socialise. It will also provide the residents of Teats Hill and Artillery the opportunity to discover new wildlife on their doorstep.”.

To celebrate the opening, a team of volunteers hosted plenty of fun activities for all the family. With everything from beach games and wild baking to whittling and informational sessions regarding supporting Plymouth’s plastics campaign, there was no shortage of creative and exciting things to do!
