Tia joins us full time after completing apprenticeship

Meet Tia who has just gained full time employment within PCH after successfully completing her Apprenticeship.

Tia studied at Marine Academy Plymouth, completing her GCSE’s and going on to study travel and tourism before she saw an apprenticeship opportunity come up within PCH.

Tia said: “I was actually interviewed for another position by the Head of Customer Experience and Assurance but during the interview they thought my skills and abilities would be suitable for the Contact Centre and suggested that I apply for that positon which I was successful with.

“When I first joined I hadn’t worked anywhere quite as big as PCH and I was lucky enough to be given a mentor in Chloe Hawkes to help me adjust to work and to help me through my NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Customer Service. Chloe has been a real help during my time here and I can’t thank her enough.”

When asked how she has found working in the contact centre Tia said: “At first it was a lot to take in but I got some great coaching from the team who helped me through some of the more difficult calls I have had to deal with.

“When I found out that there was a full time position available in the contact centre I knew I wanted to go for it and work here permanently in such a great place with such a great team.”

Since gaining her full time position Tia has gone onto start studying her NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service meaning that she will have completed all three steps during her time at PCH: “I’m looking to work hard and make the most of my opportunity at PCH, it’s exciting because there are so many different departments that you can work in that you will always be learning and picking up new skills.

“For now I’m hoping to work hard and start saving for the future.”
