We appoint contractor to carry out Phase 5 of North Prospect regeneration

Kier Living will be our contractor for the next phase of the regeneration.

The firm, currently working on Phase 3 in North Prospect, will begin demolition work on Phase 5, the penultimate phase of the regeneration, later this month.

We received planning permission for this phase earlier in the year.

Phase 5 will consist of 143 one, two, three and four-bed homes – 110 houses, 33 flats for social rent, 13 flats for affordable rent, 31 homes for shared ownership sale through SO Living and 66 for open market sale.

This stage of the regeneration has been made possible thanks to £3m grant funding from Homes England and £950,000 from Plymouth City Council.

Pete Sadler, regional director for Kier Living, added: “We have successfully delivered much-needed new housing through Phase 3 of the North Prospect regeneration programme.

“We are delighted to continue working collaboratively with Plymouth Community Homes to build a further 143 houses as part of Phase 5. We will continue to work with the local supply chain and engage with the North Prospect community as we look to create more houses that people are proud to call home.”

Phase 5 is due to be completed in Spring 2021.

Phase 3 (Southern Gate) will be finished this Spring and will be made up of 159 homes – 81 for affordable rent, 31 for shared ownership and 47 for open market sale.
