We offer unique chance to see Lenkiewicz work
We’re throwing open the doors to one of our properties which is home to a mural by renowned city artist Robert Lenkiewicz.
We own Elspeth Sitters House on the Barbican, one of its commercial premises which was, until recently, home to Age UK Plymouth.
It now stands empty following the charity’s move to premises in Mount Gould.
Elspeth Sitters House, which is next to the Plymouth Gin Distillery, houses a huge wall mural by city artist Robert Lenkiewicz, A Dance to the Music of Time.
To raise funds for Age UK Plymouth, we’re helping them stage a fundraising evening on Friday 8 June, with funds split between the charity and PCH.
The ticket-only cheese and wine evening will give visitors the chance to see the mural and listen to a talk from Johnny Lenkiewicz, Robert’s younger brother.
There will also be an exhibition of art from local artists and limited edition prints to buy on the night.
Tickets to the event, which runs from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, are £15 and are available direct from Age UK Plymouth. Contact Taylor Williams or Lynne Hodgson on 01752 256020.
Tickets are also available from all Age UK Plymouth centre receptions, Kaya Gallery and Atwell Martin on the Barbican or online at Eventbrite – link below.
The event is being sponsored by Wolferstans Solicitors and Atwell Martin.
On the following day, Saturday 9 June, Elspeth Sitters House will be hosting an art exhibition open to the public from 10am to 3pm with local artists’ work on display and for sale. A personal viewing of the Lenkiewicz mural is available for a small donation.
