We’re helping sponsor Elmer!

As part of Building Plymouth, we’re one of over 20 local organisations helping to sponsor our very own Elmer – but where's our colourful friend?

Over 10 weeks this summer a parade of 40 colourful elephants have taken over Plymouth, taking people on a trail around our beautiful city. St Luke’s Hospice is working in partnership with Wild in Art and Andersen Press to bring the beloved children’s character to life.

Plymouth Community Homes has partnered up with other organisations that form Building Plymouth to sponsor our very own Elmer here in the city.

Building Plymouth is a council-led partnership with industry that connects local people with career opportunities in the world of construction in Plymouth. The partnership looks at apprenticeships, careers, up skilling, training and qualifications to find local people a role where they can thrive.

Our Elmer is on the trail and if you can tell us where she is – you might just win a little mystery prize.

Louise Turner, Head of Property and Safety at Plymouth Community Homes said: “We’re pleased to be involved with Elmer’s Big Parade – St Luke’s are our supported charity and they come up with some fantastic and unique ways of fundraising.

“We’re proud to be a part of the Elmer take over this summer and we’re blown away by the response of the public and how many people have already completed the Elmer trail!”
