Iphone Tournament

Staff from Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) turned out in force on Saturday to host a football tournament to raise money for our Charity of the Year, the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND Association).

We are delighted to announce that PCH has raised a total of £2,000.23 for the Plymouth branch of MND Association, in memory of a much-missed and popular staff member, Lisa Goodman.

The funds were raised through raffle ticket sales, player fees as well as through extra fundraising during the tournament.

PCH staff, contractors and their families took time out of their weekend to support the event at Harpers Football Centre (formerly Goals Plymouth) and while most of the players were cheered on by those who came to support, other staff busied themselves selling raffle tickets to raise more funds.

The tournament was played in good spirits with staff from all directorates, as well as PCH contractors and there were eight teams, four from PCH and four from our contractors / friends.

ARC Metalcraft won the losers winners cup, E&R Contractors came third place, and the runners-up trophy went to the Mean Machine. The well-deserved tournament champions were Darryl Tapper's Repairs team.

Aaran Webber, Gas Plumbing Supervisor, also volunteered to shave his head and beard on the day if £100 was raised, and we are delighted to announce that a total of £264.70 was raised for MND Association.
