The Beacon is a community hub located in the heart of the North Prospect regeneration and is open to residents, local businesses and the wider community for all to enjoy
The hub comprises three floors of commercial accommodation including office space, a café, a public library, retail space and LARK Children's Centre as well as meeting and community space for everyone to hire. There are also three floors of residential accommodation above including 39 flats.
The Beacon has free WiFi throughout the building as well as plenty of parking for all visitors.

The Beacon Coffee House and Café
The Beacon Coffee House and Café is the perfect spot to get your morning coffee fix or to grab your breakfast or lunch.
With a selection of drinks and snacks available for take-away or eat-in, you can pick up a brew on the go or catch up with some friends over a slice of cake in our café located on the ground floor. We have baguettes, paninis, pasties, sausage or bacon baps and much more!
Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am until 14:00 pm. Fridays 8:30 am - 13:30 pm. The kitchen will close for hot food orders 15 minutes before closing.

Spaces available to hire
The Beacon has two meeting rooms, a community hall and a conference suite to suit all uses including classes, parties, concerts and charity fundraisers. Our rooms have varied capacity with our conference suite able to hold up to 70 delegates.
We have a wide range of groups and classes already making full use of our great spaces, including; dance classes, child health clinics, karate and slimming world.
