Residents, shareholders and Board Members were given an insight into the organisation’s performance, challenges, achievements and future plans during this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The AGM provides our Executive Management Team and wider staff with the opportunity to meet with residents to review the year and share the exciting plans for the future.

Presentations from senior staff included a summary of the last financial year, an update on how we are continuing to invest in our homes, the expansion of our development map, as well as a recap on how we’re committed to engaging with our residents.

There was recognition for work undertaken in many areas of PCH’s services, including overall satisfaction levels recorded in the Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) at 83%, resulting in PCH being one of the top 25% of landlords in the country.

Additionally, 88% of repairs, consisting of 74,000 jobs, were completed on time, while 93% of damp and mould inspections were conducted within 14 days.

The AGM celebrated the achievements of the completion of the £130m 12-year North Prospect regeneration which created 1,100 new energy efficient homes and shared our commitment to plan for 1,000 new homes in Plymouth over the next five years, supporting Plymouth City Council’s 10,000 homes ambition in partnership with Homes England.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to reflect on areas in which PCH’s performance can be improved. To deliver these improvements, we’re bringing forward our upgrade programmes to replace some older kitchens and bathrooms and investing more to tackle damp and mould. Additionally, more work is underway to improve our neighbourhood management and we’re making changes based on the recommendations from our resident scrutiny review.

Throughout the meeting, residents in attendance were encouraged to share their experience and view on PCH’s performance, and where they believe improvements ought to be made.

Jonathan Cowie, Chief Executive at PCH, said: “I am delighted to share that we’re making really good progress. Our performance is good, and we know where to improve – as highlighted by residents who have joined us today.

“We’re committed to investing in our communities, as well as existing and new homes, to support families who don’t have a home to call their own.

“I am proud of the work that we have done in the last 12 months, and I’m also excited for our plans for the future.”
