Staff at Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) held a charity quiz night at Manadon Sports and Community Hub this weekend to raise funds for our Charities of the Year, St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth and Children’s Hospice South West.
We’re delighted to announce that a total of £882 was raised for the charities, which will help them to provide specialist care and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall.
An abundance of tickets for the quiz and the raffle were sold to staff, contractors and their friends and families to help raise extra funds for the charity.
PCH teamed up with St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth and Children’s Hospice South West in April 2025 for 12 months of charity fundraising, and so far, we have organised a number of fundraising events including a football match to raise funds for the charity.
There were nine teams filling the function room at Manadon Sports and Community Hub, and the quizzers enjoyed a pasty and refreshment break halfway through the quiz.
The winning team were presented with a trophy and certificates, and the team who came in last place were given a wooden spoon to mark their efforts.

- Staff, contractors and businesses who supported the raffle by donating raffle prizes (E&R Contractors, Diva Nails By Claire and EleaNoir Illustrations) and purchasing tickets.
PCH is continuing to raise money for the charities through organising a variety of events, sharing updates about the fundraising efforts of staff on our website and through social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. An update with a total of the funds raised during the year will be shared in the coming months.
