Changes to your local housing teams

14 October 25

We’re making a number of changes to how our housing teams operate in local communities to help improve the services we provide to residents.

We’ve reviewed how our Tenancy Management team works within neighbourhoods across Plymouth, and we have moved some of the Senior Housing Officers, Housing Officers and Assistant Housing Officers to cover different areas, so we can make sure we respond quickly and effectively to any resident enquiries.

You can find out who your Housing Officer, Assistant Housing Officer and Incomes Officer or Leasehold Officer are on our website using our ‘Find my Housing Team’ function, by entering your postcode and selecting your address.

You may find that your local housing team has remained the same, or there may be a few changes to who looks after your neighbourhood, but should you need to contact us about your tenancy, home or neighbourhood, your Housing team is here to help.

There are many ways that you can get in touch with us to also find out this information, which include through your MyPCH account, where the information for your local housing team has already been updated, by calling us on 0808 230 6500 to speak to our friendly Contact Centre team, online via our enquiry form, via email at enquiries@plymouthcommunityhomes.co.uk or on Facebook, X or Instagram. You can also visit us at our Head Office – Plumer House, Tailyour Road, Plymouth, PL6 5DH.

You can also meet your local housing team at our dedicated drop-in sessions which are located across the city, and during our community walkabouts, where you can also tell us what you think of your area and what we can improve.

We’re still updating our systems to reflect the changes, so should the information for your local housing team not be fully up to date, our colleagues will be able to share the details of your local housing team with you and put you in contact with them. Thank you for your patience as we continue to make these changes.

Benjamin Bello, Interim Head of Thriving Neighbourhoods, said: “To improve the services we provide to residents, we have reviewed how our Tenancy Management team works within neighbourhoods around Plymouth, and we have moved some of our housing staff to cover different areas, so we can make sure that we respond to any resident enquires more promptly and effectively. We’re keen to improve the journey and experiences for our residents, and this will improve our service quality and demonstrate our continued commitment to delivering great services.

“Please reach out to your local housing team if you require any support, the team are on hand to help.

“We appreciate your understanding with the changes that we have made and welcome any feedback on these changes to help us to further enhance the experience and journey of all residents and to improve the way our services are delivered.”

Our housing management areas explained

Across the city, there are three areas which are managed by three different Senior Housing Officers, these include:

  • Area South - Stonehouse, City Centre, Lipson, Devonport, Morice Town, Keyham, Barbican, West Hoe, Mount Gould, Plympton, Plymstock, Cornwall and new builds in Devon.

  • Area Central – North Prospect, Ham, Kings Tamerton, Keyham, Pennycross, Manadon, Crownhill, Honicknowle, West Park, St Budeaux, Barne Barton and Ernesettle.

  • Area North – Whitleigh, Southway, Estover, Leigham, Eggbuckland, Austin Farm, Efford and Laira.

Our Tall Buildings and Bungalows are being looked after by our Senior Specialist Housing Manager.

Within each Area there are a number of patches (an area of properties that we manage), which are looked after by a Housing Officer and an Assistant Housing Officer. The patch sizes have been made fairer in terms of how many properties sit within each area and represents a way of delivering our services in a better way in geographical terms.
