Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) is thrilled to be sponsoring the Young Neighbourhood Hero Award at this years Plymouth Youth Awards 2026, hosted by YMCA Plymouth.
The Plymouth Youth Awards celebrate children and young adults throughout the city for their outstanding achievements, inspiring feats against adversity, and tireless dedication to creating change.
The Young Neighbourhood Hero Award celebrates a young person who has made a tangible difference in their local community or neighbourhood through their initiative, care and commitment. Whether they volunteer their time, organise local activities, support neighbours or vulnerable residents, or help to improve shared community spaces, this award honours a young person whose actions have had a positive impact.
Thirteen award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 20th June 2026 at Crowne Plaza Plymouth, where all 39 finalists across a range of categories will be celebrated.
Nominations opened on Monday 2nd March and will close on Thursday 30th April, with the finalists being announced on Monday 25th May.
You can nominate any young person under the age of 21 living in Plymouth here. Make sure to provide as much information about your nominee as possible.

Last year, PCH supported the 2025 Plymouth Youth Awards, as well as the Plymouth Community Awards, in association with YMCA Plymouth and Discovery College. The Plymouth Community Awards celebrated the achievements of people in our community who inspire through their feats against adversity and their tireless dedication to creating change.
PCH was a proud sponsor of the 'Best Community Project Award' to recognise projects that have made a significant and positive impact on a community. A selection of PCH residents and staff selected Southway Community Group CIC as the Best Community Project Award winner, and they were presented their award on stage by Jonathan Cowie at the award ceremony, alongside the staff and residents who were involved in the process.
