Hillcrest
- Organised meetings, surgeries and a family fun event at the community centre.
- Raised the issue of vehicles driving too fast on the estate with Plymouth City Council.
- Carried out minor works, including anti-climb fencing on garages, concrete platforms for bin storage, fencing and drainage.
- Built relationships with many of our residents, listening to their views and supporting them to settle into a new neighbourhood.
- Worked in partnership with neighbourhood Police and targeted youth support with more visibility at Hillcrest.
Abbey Court and Barbican
- We have repaired the broken wall in the playground and removed the Heras fencing.
- We removed over 20 rusty bicycles from the bike space, improving and clearing the area.
- We have hired external consultants to assess the condition of Abbey Court. Their goal is to provide recommendations on how we can improve the living environment for residents.
- We have evicted a tenant who was causing high levels of anti-social behaviour in the local area.
- Held regular meetings with the local police team to share information.
- Worked with the Police to increase their presence, resulting in PSCOs now conducting walks around the block.
Ernesettle
- We have increased our meetings with the local Police team and regularly discuss what is happening in the area, as well as how we can work together to tackle anti-social behaviour.
- Carried out regular community walkabouts in Ernesettle, where we identify untidy gardens and communal areas.
- We addressed issues such as fly-tipping and overgrown green spaces, liaising with Plymouth City Council to resolve them where necessary.
- We have advertised on our website about food banks and raised awareness that Ernesettle has one at St Aiden’s Church.
- We have found out that there are local groups that meet to tackle litter in Ernesettle, including Ernesettle Wombles Group and Friends of Ernesettle Creek.
Whitleigh
- We have tackled anti-social behaviour and worked with the community to make improvements.
- We have worked and continue to work with Four Greens to improve community engagement.
- We have made necessary repairs and conducted estate walkabouts, whilst being open to ideas from local tenants on how to improve communal areas.
- We have investigated rubbish dumping by either reporting this to the council or making sure tenants dispose of it responsibly
- We have been visible in the community and have attended drop-in sessions at Four Greens.
